Should I use Listings Items or JSON_LISTINGS_FEED?
Use a targeted request when you need to inspect and control one listing change. Bulk feeds handle collections of submissions with asynchronous processing feedback. Choose based on the operation, permissions and current Amazon documentation, not simply the number of rows in a spreadsheet.
Can one failed SKU invalidate my reporting?
Keep results per SKU: accepted, rejected, pending verification or unknown. Report totals with their scope and unresolved items. Do not label a whole batch successful because a transport request returned a success status.
Is a validation preview safe to run on every product continuously?
Preview helps find errors before submission, but it has its own usage limits and is not an unlimited high-volume validation service. Cache the appropriate schema and use previews deliberately.
Should I retry a timed-out listing update?
First determine whether Amazon received it. A timeout is an unknown outcome, not proof of failure. Reconcile the operation and current state before sending another account-changing request.
